Global Fintech 2024 Conference Highlights

The Wits School of Economics and Finance, through the collaborative efforts of leading academic institutions and industry stakeholders, successfully hosted the 2024 Global Fintech Conference under the theme "The Future of Fintech: Innovations, Opportunities, and Challenges" at the Wits Fintech Hub in Johannesburg from November 14th to 15th, 2024. This premier international event brought together scholars, researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to explore the latest innovations and challenges in the fintech sector.

The conference served as a dynamic platform for thought-provoking discussions, cutting-edge research presentations, and knowledge-sharing on emerging trends in finance and technology. Key themes included blockchain technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sustainable finance, and digital identity, reflecting the evolving landscape of the global fintech ecosystem.
