Preconception Health and Care

CoE-HUMAN in partnership with SAMRC Wits Developmental Pathways for Health Research Unit set out to showcase the Bukhali HeLTI study as an exemplar of a programmatic intervention that shows the efficacy of a complex continuum of care that aims to combat the complex health burdens that young men and women who live in resource-constrained settings face, discuss prevention and health initiatives that are vital for the benefit of young men and women as well as show how good health and wellbeing matter prior to conception. The video showcases the role of the Bukhali trial as a programmatic intervention that aims to promote behaviour change from preconception.

The 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children is an annual United Nations campaign that runs from November 25 to December 10. It aims to raise awareness of the negative impact that violence and abuse have on women and children and to rid society of abuse permanently. The campaign's theme is "30 Years of Advancing Collective Action to End Violence Against Women and Children."
